A Day of Shame - Bombay Attacks!... Bombay (thats what I prefer to call it rather than Mumbai)
I have not slept properly in the past three days, have been closely following the developments on "Bombay's 9/11. I feel I am not doing justice if I just sit and stare at the terror videos. In my present position , I can only be a man of words (and not of action).
Bombay (thats what I prefer to call it) is much more than the city where I was born. Its very cosmopolitan and open nature has made me a well-balanced, yet competitive person. The fast pace of life, the finance and film industries, the academic and research institutions, the beaches, the hills, the lakes -- all in one magnificent metropolitan city. I may even go on to say that the blood of freedom fighters (from our grandfathers and their ancestors) runs in the veins of many a Bombayite.
"Terrible! terrible situation!,"
....ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...HOW MANY BLASTS? WHAT THE F *** IS HAPPENNING IN BOMBAY..ITS A NATIONAL SHAME.......
Its insane…Bombay, our financial capital, being attacked by these handful of boys (yes all young boys) between 20-25 years in age…coming on a boat full of ammunition,AK 47's , landing on a sasoon dock or near gateway of India and whoosh go the guns in the Taj,Oberoi,Trident,Cafe Leopold ,CST station ,Metro cinema, Cama Hospital, Nariman house…… unbelievable!
I read and heard the news that these so-called-terrorists were shouting that they want everybody with a British or American passport….. its so shameful…how can I ever tell people and my colleagues working in international locations come & visit my country my mumbai anymore!
God only knows how many millions are spent on the ’so-called-security’ …for what? To welcome these assholes like this?!
On a very different note, a thought just came to my mind… all these attackers were all 22-23 years of age…I wonder how they put their life at risk for nothing?! I mean, how many of us will really put our lives at risk like this? What’s there in their minds? What’s that hatred, that passion in their heads…????
Anyway…the bottom line still remains that this is one of the worst terrorist attacks on our country ... my Bombay city and IT IS SHAMEFUL!!!
Its been a great loss, the attacks in Bombay have left more than 175 people dead & nearly 300 injured , with scores of foreigners & indians...
